Vienna Pride Route
The Pride Parade starts and ends at Rathausplatz. The route takes the following route: Rathausplatz (on Universitätsring) -> Dr. Karl-Brenner-Ring -> Burgring -> Opernring -> Kärtner Ring -> Schubertring -> Parkring -> Stubenring -> Franz-Josefs-Kai -> Schottenring -> Rathausplatz (on Universitätsring)

The Parade usually starts at 12:00 pm and concludes around 04:00 pm, transitioning into evening festivities at the Vienna Pride Village.
Key Facts
When did Vienna Pride first take place?
Vienna Pride began in 1996 with the first Regenbogenparade (Rainbow Parade), inspired by the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Stonewall riots in New York. Vienna’s parade marches in the opposite direction of traffic on the Ringstraße—a symbolic act of resistance. In 2019 Vienna was the Host of the Europride.
